With more than 1500 members, the cooperative has done an exemplary job in improving the quality of production, consequently increasing the sale price of various products at the origin, thus improving the quality of life of its members and giving them access to markets previously unattainable. The Trás-os-Montes potato is, alongside products such as the Carne Barrosã or Barroso honey, one of CAPOLIB’s star products.

In the “hot land” of Trás-os-Montes, Manuel and Cristina Pinto are dedicated to the production of strawberries. After a few years of emigrating to France, where they worked on picking strawberries, they returned to this region. Back in their homeland, they made their own plantation that already totals about two hectares and more than 30 thousand strawberry feet and is reputed to have very sweet fruits with a real strawberry flavor.
