In the enchanted forests of the Montesinho Natural Park, “setas”, “rapazinhos”, and “míscaros” multiply and can be picked for private consumption following specific rules that determine harvest methods. Mushroom picking is a common practice throughout the country, with tours even organised for this purpose, with specialists to ensure that only the “good” mushrooms are picked – remember, all mushrooms are edible, but some of them just once.
