Start the afternoon with a walk in the vineyard, where the geometry of the native vines will take you to the studio of ceramist Geraldine Lemos, one of the hosts of this experience and also a member of the Lemos family, owners of this emblematic Quinta in the Dão. At the studio, you'll be able to take a tour, enter Geraldine's creative universe and learn about the process of developing the pieces that help to bring to life and tell the story of the Mesa de Lemos menus. Moulding a piece, which you can take away with you, is also an option for those who feel like trying their hand at this manual art.After this inspiring visit, there's nothing better than going down to the cellar and getting to know the Quinta de Lemos wines in a tasting led by oenologist Hugo Chaves. Here you can take a journey through the world of wine and the history of Celso de Lemos' family, which begins with textiles and continues through the world of gastronomy. The barrel room and a blind selection of an unlabelled bottle that is in the process of ageing are some of the surprises that await you. Even before dinner, we've prepared a commented olive oil tasting, which is carefully prepared by producer Cátia Correia in an integrated protection programme, thus maintaining respect for the environment. Sunset awaits you at Mesa de Lemos. Here Chef Diogo Rocha presents sustainable gastronomy, serving seasonal flavours and national dishes in which the main concern is with the ingredients, many of them from Quinta de Lemos itself. Keeping the ingredients in their pure and natural state, allowing the most genuine flavours to be expressed. In perfect harmony with the surrounding nature, the mountains, the vineyards of Quinta de Lemos and the tranquillity of the landscape, the gastronomic offer is thought out in detail in a menu consisting of 8 moments, harmonised with a careful selection of Quinta de Lemos wines.
